So you think you can bunnyhop?

I have a very faint feeling those guys are extreme pros :O

Very nice skill. Are those speeds possible w/o scout or concs in FF?

Player 03-24-2009 11:41 AM

No, those speeds are not possible in Fortress Forever!

But I love cpma and captain d, they make a great team!

Lost 03-24-2009 01:08 PM

Holy shit, that's awesome. Like watching some of those fuckers pulling tricks in TFC.

MonoXideAtWork 03-24-2009 03:48 PM

No, fortress forever is easymode compared to cpma. =(

just remove the bhop cap and we'll show em

Credge 03-24-2009 05:41 PM

It should be noted that the maps in CPMA are built for that while those found in TF games are not.

GeoKill-----> 03-24-2009 06:24 PM

So if we build it they will come you say?

I recommend getting quake 3 off of steam and installing the defrag mod. Using CPM physics, you can bunnyhop and doublejump (trimp) to your hearts content.

CPM physics is a little more complex than the hl1 or source physics, so practice practice practice.

I'll be putting together a defrag run map pack later, so if you want it, hit me up!

Amen. I cried a little when they adjusted the skimcap in 2.1.

GeoKill-----> 03-24-2009 11:45 PM

Hmm all of this is possible in ff I think
sv_cheats 1
mess around with ffdevs_ commands

MonoXideAtWork 03-25-2009 12:08 AM

You've created a monster!

GeoKill-----> 03-25-2009 12:44 AM

Ya not sure how many got removed but I think a few of those are still around also you can removed sv_cheats and the settings get save unless server crashes or you restart the server.

So someone make maps and get a server running :)

Or make a cfg with the commands, something we use to do in the beta when we found good values.

gracias senor!

OneManArmy 03-25-2009 07:21 PM

CPM is kewl :> But I getting raped hard everytime I duel with CPMers :<
And CPM's movement is much more complicated

MonoXideAtWork 03-25-2009 07:45 PM

it's funny, coming from a cpm background, I say the same about playing in TFC servers.

xks 03-26-2009 04:37 AM

To me CPM just looks a bit 'wrong'.

Quake has always had a certain movement style and the CPM stuff just makes it "like half life" rather than retaining it's own unique breed of physics.

The skill of CPM'ers and the quality of the mods are unquestionably brilliant, but it doesn't look right to me. I'm a lot more impressed by the jumping contained in Tribulation, which is surely one of the best trickjumping movies ever made. Good old overbouncing..

MonoXideAtWork 03-26-2009 06:35 AM

I agree with you, freestyle is best performed in vq3.

That being said, cpm runs are fundamentally different from vq3 runs, and each is very beautiful.

And half-life? Foreal? Q1. Precedence, and a direct prequel.

I have to pay homage though, CPM runs wouldn't be possible without the solid foundation from vq3.

Here's some of the sexiest vq3 runs I've seen

edit help? movie are not showzor!
