Its an avd map. This room houses a generator that controls lasers that protect the final cap. When its detpacked the lasers go down for good, otherwise lasers must be deactivated/reactivated with switches near the cap.

Since joining the beta squad I have had a lot more motivation for getting this thing done and beta-able, I also have access to official FF textures and models now, which i have started integrating into my map. Hopefully soon I will be able to test this with the devs - I plan to have this finished before it reaches its first birthday!
Heres what Ive been working on recently: http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex1.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex2.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex3.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex4.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex5.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex6.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex7.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/tex8.jpg |

Getting there, getting there...
Overview 1 Overview 2 Overview 3 And redesigning CP2... shot 1 shot 2 shot 3 (... but deleting some of the first brushes I made in this map brings me great sadness.) Last edited by BumGravy; 05-05-2007 at 12:26 PM. |

the overviews are so cool
but shot 1, 2 and 3 are all the same picture, you need to fix the links http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/forty26a0003.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/forty26a0004.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/bumgravy3/forty26a0005.jpg |

Great work on the redesign. I'm glad you decided to do a bit of touching up - its definitely paying off.
I'm getting pretty excited about this map too - a FF-exclusive AvD map that is this pretty... just magical. I'd say keep working your way up on the redesign - the blocky roof of the 'parthenon' type building seems a weird contrast to the well-textured curvy bottoms. And looking at shot 3, there seem to be some weird collisions between the architecture. Where the blue curvy top runs into the spherical side, and where you have to 'step up' on to the platform on the right. Seems odd in contrast with the flat, blocky floor which goes up to them. And on shot 3, I see a floating ball through the columns on the center-right. mer? |
