Low-Gravity FF

I was just wondering how many of you have gave low-g FF a try. We currently have a server running hosting it, and it seems to stay full. I was part of an old Low-g TFC clan called [s0d], and am trying to bring some low-g fun back in the form of FF. Another thing i have noticed is the sv_gravity 200 sure does feel lighter than it did when running on the HL1 engine. Anyways, throw your opinion n on here and let me know what you think!

yeah the gravity is different in HL2 its off a little bit from HL1. but yeah low grav was fun, but i preferred to play Low-G only when its on a map that makes sense for it.

I agree. Some maps don't fit in well with low-g. What maps would you suggest?
And what gravity do you think would feel more TFC like? 250? 300?

afaik the gravity in HL2 is heavier at the same levels, so like 300 would be like 400 etc, um mm. i always liked the servers around 300 in TFC, where the height u got wasn't too excessive

some fun ones, SD2, well, crossover, push DEFINITLY, ummm there were those HL1DM maps, i forgot their names tho, it was like torch or something? yah know the one im talking about? with the air strikes? and the flak cannons. i hope someone remakes that map it was awesome for TFCDM.

Well, CZ, and Aardvark are very fun low-g IMHO. I'm currently intrawebless (damn them releasing this the weekend I'm moving!) but as soon as I'm back online I'll tweak with my server a bit and see what works out best.

i will mostlikely do a seperate compile of my map hall of giants with the lowgrav on.. this way servers that want the lowgrav version only , can run that or both or however they wish, since the maker of the map originaly intended it to be a lowgrav map, i think i should do it justice

Some the best times I've had in TFC were while playing low-grav Turkey Burgers and low-grav Rats.

Both classics. Can't wait for some of the old maps to be remade!

Played in your server a bit the other day, and the only map that really didn't lend itself well was the hunted map (i dont know names, im a TF nub) but most of the others, especially cz2, were fun

Glad you enjoyed it! Hope to see you back there sometime in the near future. Hunted does seem a bit one sided when on low-g. I'll look into that. Thanks!
