Weapon Modeler and Forum Leaders

Posted 1 decade ago by Fortress Forever Team
Since the forums turned out to be such hip and happenin' of a place, we've enlisted the aid of three crack moderators: Jiggles, SomeOldGuy, and Storm. These Forum Leaders, as we've taken to calling them, have essentially free reign (being reasonable people and all) when it comes to enforcing their fascist agenda of FF promotion and intelligent discussion, so beware lest ye troll under their purview.

In less groovy news, sev, our weapon modeler extraordinaire, has been forced to take an indefinite hiatus from his duties. This being the case, we've started active recruitment of a skilled modeler to assume the now vacated weapon modeling position. Here are the responsibilities and prerequisites, as listed in the 'job openings' section:
You will be creating weapon models primarily based on concept art, but some imagination and creative skill will also be required to bring the concepts to life. Modeling with either 3DSM, Maya, or XSI is preferred. Previous low-poly modeling experience is a must. High-poly modeling experience and the ability to UV map models is advantageous, but not required.
Prospective applicants should saunter on over to the aforementioned 'job openings' section for specific information on how to get their foot in the door, so to speak.
Please keep in mind that only applications which include sufficient examples of the applicant's work can be considered.

Français (and English!) Interview

Posted 1 decade ago by Fortress Forever Team
Those wily and resourceful French at TFHQ haf' interviewed 'ze Fortress Forever developers, mark'ng our first translingual foray! Though no one on the dev. team was brave enough to respond in French, they kindly availed our timidity and translated our garish tongue into what we expect is flawless and beautiful Français.

For those of us not fortunate enough to be so extravagantly endowed linguistically, we have posted the original English version for your convenient perusal.

Hunted, Concepts, Journals, and Programmers Abound

Posted 1 decade ago by Fortress Forever Team
Quite a healthy bit of news this evening. To start, we'd like to welcome FryGuy and DrEvil on as code monkeys, further bolstering our bumper crop and pushing us that much closer to our end goal of cornering the market.

Secondly, the Trepids, while not trippin' (yo!) on whatever their drug of choice is (it's something potent, believe me), have been puttin' in countless hours on Hunted, of which we have four bran' spankin' new vestiges for y'all:

Thirdly, dr_nick has kept himself studiously and (quite apparently) dexterously scribbling out model concepts in his secret lair, seldom allowing for such human necessities as orange juice, curry rice, and Billy Wilder movies. This being the case, rebo, in an uncharacteristic show of good 'ole down-home American hard work and ingenuity, whipped up this here wallpaper:

Not quite lastly, astute visitors have probably noticed the new 'Developer Journals' menu up there at the top right. Our developers, having little else to do, obviously, will be keeping their adoring public abreast of every move made or unmade. Check frequently, these candid encounters are liable to pop up at any instant and we're hard up for traffic.

Finally, for those who may have questioned my counting tactics earlier (it was strategic!), mosey yourself on over to the media section and two more Hunted boys'll greet you mighty kindly.

Easter Bunny Delivers Napalm, Maps

Posted 1 decade ago by Fortress Forever Team
The Fortress Forever developers have spent the time since Monday's Vernal Equinox and Easter trying to stand eggs vertically, to no avail. And though Easter is just another pagan celebration co-opted to religious ends, we here feel obligated to help you all celebrate... by fueling fantasies about killing online opponents for personal enjoyment.

Sev and Decs have been busy hiding colored reproductive vessels of chickens, as have the Trepids, though we wouldn't suggest consuming Jesse or Jon's fare. Meanwhile, Monsieur Eat has made sure that the white eggs are especially difficult to find.

As always, thar' be more of the same awaiting you after the jump to the Media section.

Eat's Crossover and Ghroth's Sonic Waves

Posted 1 decade ago by Fortress Forever Team
Eat, with the assistance of a few dexterous beavers, has fixed us all up with a four star culinary treat: chiefly, Crossover. Meanwhile, Ghroth, the man in charge of the aforementioned beavers' timbre, has been relentlessly churning out delights of the sonic variety. In a freak coincidence, these images and sounds have found their way to our media section.

Thar' be two more images of similiar ilk for ye to be plunderin' if one shimmys to yon' media!
